A company release here today said the new system would ensure improved service delivery processes for customers in India. The deployment was in line with the company's expanding business and the changing requirements of a free market in the Insurance Detariff regime. While the software was a proprietary General Insurance System of the CMC, TCS would manage the customisation and successful deployment over the web.
Benefits to customers would include delivery of policies at remote locations, facilitation of alternate modes of payment and speedy interaction for issuance of policies and settlement of claims.
The project would go online at 100 of Cholamandalam MS offices across the country in the first phase during April 2008.
Once the process was completed, all the offices in 150 locations would be fully functional with improved service delivery processes that would bring down the service cost, the release added.
