Wrestling champ's body found, father alleges rape

Yamunanagar, Dec 26 (UNI) Body of a missing minor girl, a state-level wrestling champion who was allegedly raped by her kin, was recovered today from Western Yamuna canal near here, police said.

Jagpal Singh 'Pehelwan', father of the Rinkle, a resident of Amadalpur, has alleged in an FIR that his daughter missing since December 20, was abducted and murdered by some of their relatives, who had earlier raped her in their house.

According to police, the FIR states that 15-year-old Rinkle had gone to her cousin uncle's house about 20 days back and after returning had complained to her mother about being raped by her two cousin uncles Naresh and Rimpa.

The parents did not report the incident to the police but instead tried to settle the matter within the family circle.

On December 20, the girl disappeared from the house. After the body was found today, Jagpal accused Naresh and Rimpa of roping in two other men, Kant Singh and Akbar for murdering his daughter.

The body has been sent for the postmortem in the civil hospital.

The police has registered a case under sections 376 and 302 of the IPC against all the alleged accused.

However, no arrests have been made so far.
