Raghuvansh's brother found guilty of engaging child labour
Patna, Dec 26 (UNI) Raghuraj Singh, brother of Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, was found guilty of engaging child labour to plough agriculture field, in an investigation carried out by the state labour commissioner.
The report submitted to the Bihar government by state labour commissioner Vimlanand Jha found the minister's kin guilty of utilising the services of child labour as oxen during the ploughing of his agrarian field in Vaishali district few days ago.
'' After cross examination of several villagers and the two children allegedly used by Raghuraj Singh as child labours, it has been found to be true that he had hired and engaged them for tilling,'' the commissioner observed in his report.
Earlier, a private channel had flashed the footage showing the child labours being used by minister's kin for tilling the agriculture land.
The deputy labour commissioner had, however, conducted the probe into the allegations earlier and given clean chit to Raghuraj observing the footage shown by the private channel was stage managed.
