Mercury dips to 8.3 degree, likely to drop further
New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) After the abatement in the cold in the Capital for the past few days, chill returned today with the mercury plummeting to 8.3 degrees Celsius and the met office predicting colder days ahead.
The minimum, which was normal, dipped two notches from yesterday's 10 degree, giving a pleasant weather on Christmas Day.
The met office predicted fall in night temperature by two to four degrees over the plains in the next two days. The minimum temperature will further drop to six degree Celcius tomorrow.
The maximum, however, remained at 23 degree Celsius and was normal.
The weathermen forecast shallow fog or mist for tomorrow morning and a clear sky later in the day.
