Gemini Comm in pact with Midas for Rs 260 cr BSNL order
Chennai, Dec 26 (UNI) Networking company Gemini Communication Ltd (GCL) has partnered with Midas Communication Technologies Pvt Ltd for a Rs 260 crore BSNL order for the implementation and deployment of Enhanced Digital Wireless Access System (EDWAS) with broadband internet access across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Haryana.
Of the Rs 260 crore order, Gemini had bagged the Rs 200 crore order from Midas for the implementation of the EDWAS project on a turnkey basis, a company release here said.
The BSNL tender envisaged supply, installation and commissioning of 134 Base Station Controllers and 1,340 Base Station Sites in the three States for providing Voice and Broadband Data Services.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding entered into with Midas, Gemini would be implementing and deploying the BSNL project within a period of 150 days, it said.
''This is the largest order bagged by GCL. It is a reflection of the excellent and trusted service standards delivered by GCL as also a proof of our continued strong and aggressive growth strategies,'' GCL Chairman and Managing Director Vijay Kumar said.
