Nashik, Dec 26 (UNI) BJP State Unit President Nitin Gadkari today demanded dismissal of the Vilasrao Deshmukh-led Democratic Front Government, considering the present atmosphere of political uncertainty in the state.

The BJP leader also demanded fresh election in the state so that the new government would make efforts for the development of the state, which has been stalled at present.

''The present leadership issues in the state -- Narayan Rane's revolt against Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Vilasrao's assurance of no change in the leadership, Sushilkumar Shinde's willingness to accept any job given by the high command and no clarification from Congress' Central leadership regarding the issue -- have resulted in loss for the state,'' Mr Gadkari said.

''Due to this, many decisions have not been taken. This has stalled the process of development and the Congress is responsible for it. Therefore, the State Government should be dismissed and fresh election held,'' Mr Gadkari demanded.

He said the state is facing various problems including the Rs 1,47,000 crore loan, suicide by more than 1,500 farmers, 16-18 hours of load-shedding and the deteriorating law and order situation. The present situation has stalled the administrative process and the problems remain unsolved, he added.

Speaking about the Sharad Pawar-Bal Thackeray meeting, Mr Gadkari said, ''The NCP-Shiv Sena alliance is impossible as the Sena will not accept Mr Pawar's secularism and Mr Pawar will not accept Sena's Hindutva.'' ''It was a move by Mr Pawar to create political confusion and instability,'' he remarked.

Talking about BJP's victory in the 2007 Gujarat Assembly election, Mr Gadkari said it is Narendra Modi's victory not only against the Congress, the UPA and Sonia Gandhi but also against the leaders from Maharashtra, including Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who campaigned for the Party.

Mr Gadkari also announced that the BJP Maharashtra unit will soon organise felicitation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the city.

He said the BJP has undertaken various programmes to increase its vote-base in the state. He also expressed confidence that considering the growing discontent against the Congress, the BJP will emerge victorious in election.
