Hyderabad, Dec 26: The Andhra Pradesh unit of the CPI will launch an agitation against the move of the state-owned Road Transport Corporation to hire private buses to operate in rural and urban areas from the coming year.

Talking to newspersons after participating in the 82nd anniversary celebrations of the CPI at the party headquarters here, state secretary K Narayana said 'the party would not remain a mute spectator on the RTC management's decision.

The party would vehemently oppose it by organising agitational programmes in the state.

Asking the party activists to prevent the entry of private buses into RTC bus terminals and stop the vehicles from plying on the roads, the CPI leader alleged that the government was conspiring to cripple the RTC by inviting private operators.
