11 peacocks found dead in protected area in Punjab

Ludhiana, Dec 26 (UNI) Eleven peacocks were today found dead in a protected forest area on Ladhowal road on the outskirts of the city.

The dead birds, including nine peahens were discovered by a forest department team led by Block Forest Officer Prithpal Singh.

The officer said there were no injury marks on the dead birds.

The post mortem of the dead birds will take place at the National Veterinary Sciece Lab in Jalandhar to determine the cause of death.
