Haryana govt to provide finances to Gurukul institutions

Jhajjar, Dec 25 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the State Government will formulate a rational policy for providing financial assistance to the Gurukul Educational Institutions of the State.

Addressing the State Level Sanskrit and Sanskriti Mahasammelan held at the premises of Gurukul Mahavidyalaya here, he assured to accept various demands of Sanskrit teachers and to remove their other anomalies for promoting the language in the State.

The Chief Minister called upon the teachers and scholars of the language to strive jointly for promoting Sanskrit so as to preserve the ancient culture of the country.

Mr Hooda also laid the foundation stone of a dining hall and a building for a 'Gaushala'. The Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh from his discretionary fund for the development of the Gurukul.

Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta also assured the managers of the Gurukul Educational Institutions that all out efforts would be made to promote Sanskrit and the Gurukul Culture in the State.

Delhi Health Minister Yoganand Shashtri also stressed on developing the Sanskrit language as the 'Rashtra Bhasha'.
