Four policemen and a woman hurt in Assam blast
Guwahati, Dec 25 (UNI) Four policemen and a woman were injured in a blast in Assam's Sivsagar district today, police said.
The blast occurred near the Khana tea garden under Sonari police station, at about 1245 hours.
The four injured policemen, including the SDPO of Sonari, were rushed to the Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh, where the condition of the police driver was said to be critical.
Earlier a report stated that a policeman was killed in the bomb blast was revised.
Police suspect the ULFA was behind the behind the explosion, though the hand of adivasi militants had also not been ruled out.
