Bangalore, Dec 24 (UNI) Four teams, three from the city and another from Dubai would play in the Max Talent Bisleri Twenty20 cricket tournament that begins in the city from December 26.
The four teams in the under-15 category have been allowed to play two players each from under-16 age group. The tournament would be played under round robin league and the final would be held on December 31.
Briefing newspersons Dubai-based Max Talent Chief Sudhakar Shetty said the three city based teams were Kanara Blues, Jain international school and Professional Sports Group. The matches would be played at Jain school grounds.
Max talent scouts for cricket talent in the UAE and organises matches in different places to popularise cricket in the middle east, he added.
Bisleri Director (business development) Anjana Ghosh said the top bottled water selling company had sponsored the tournament in a bid to discover and support new cricket talent in the country. It had also sponsored Major Ashutosh Tripathi, India's only entry for the Windsurfing RSX category Olympic qualifiers to be held in New Zealand.
