Smruti, Krishna, Mayank- Grandmasters in National Prodigy 07

Mumbai, Dec 24 (UNI) Smruti V Inamdar from Bangalore emerged as the Grandmaster (GM) in ''C'' category, Krishna Vasantha from Hyderabad in ''B'' category and Mayank Dusane from the city in ''A'' category at the ''4th National Prodigy 2007'' competition, held in the city.

As many as 5,000 children from 380 centres and 19 states took part in the competition, organized by the Indian arm of Malaysia-based SIP Academy, which was held yesterday.

Ten children won the competition.

The competition is held among children using the ancient Chinese Abacus, which trains the participants to do mathematics under different catagories, stated a release.
