Jaipur, Dec 24 (UNI) Justifying Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's move of effecting cabinet expansion today, BJP General Secretary Gopinath Munde said more such action would be taken up to gear up the party for assembly elections due to be held next year.
Talking to reporters here this evening Mr Munde said the cabinet expansion and reshuffle was due and today's action would give a moral boost to the BJP rank and file in the state.
He said more political decision would be taken soon to fulfill the aspirations of the party workers to recharge them for the assembly election next year.
He said reshuffle in the porfolio of the ministers would be finalised by the Chief Minister in a day or two.
Some political appointments would also be made soon to accommodate party workers, he added.
However, he maintained that there was no no dissidence, infightings or goupism in the BJP state unit.
Mr Munde said social engineering aspect was taken into consideration while effecting expansion today.
Two Meena ministers were dropped and an identical number of new faces from the same community were inducted while Gujjars' representation was improved, Mr Munde observed.
On the sacking of two ministers Kirodi Lal Meena and Virendra Meena, Mr Munde said that they had resigned on their own.
