India, Cyprus to combat international terrorism

The
Union
Cabinet
today
gave
its
ex-post
facto
approval
for
the
signing
of
a
agreement
between
the
Government
of
India
and
the
Government
of
Cyprus
for
cooperation
on
combating
international
terrorism,
organised
crimes
and
illicit
drug
trafficking
and
to
ratify
the
agreement.
This agreement would improve the effectiveness of both countries in the prevention, investigation, prosecution and suppression of crime including crime relating to terrorism and drug trafficking.
This also helps in establishing a framework for enhancing cooperation between the officials of intelligence and law-enforcement agencies of the parties.
