GBS new campus heralds first Corporate B-School in India

Kolkata, Dec 24 (UNI) Globsyn Business School today launched its new campus Globsyn Crystals, which is to be the country's first corporate B-school, with a wide range of programs capable of being at par with international standards.

Romit Dasgupta, Director of Globsyn Technologies Ltd today said, ''The Globsyn brand has always encouraged innovation. Globsyn Business School is among the fastest growing B-Schools and has strongly put Bengal and the East in the national B-School focus. Started in 2002, the Globsyn Business School is now heralded as one of the fastest growing B-Schools in the country with over 600 students on campus across programs. It also boasts of affiliations with Coventry University, University of Glasgow, University of Calcutta and Jadavpur University.

''The new GBS infrastructure would find a hi-tech classroom which opens into the corporate conference room. The students can walk through the corridors of power and get the feel of their future workplace instead of being crammed into academic classroom environments,'' he said.

The response from the industry has, so far, been overwhelming with most of the students already being placed, almost two months before the end of the academic year, he said and added that the list of companies hiring students from Globsyn Business School include organizations like, PWC, Citi Group, R S Software, Pantaloons, SBI Life Insurance, Big FM, Reliance Communications, ICICI Direct, Wipro, Genpact, ICICI, Hutch (Vodafone), Hindalco, Centurion Bank, IFB Global, Pantaloons, IMRB International and Tata Tin Plate among others.
