Hisar, Dec 24 (UNI) A Canadian Centre of Education and a students exchange plan are some of the steps to be taken up as a part of developing Indo-Canadian academic relations with Malaspina University College Centre.
The Canadian Education Director Prashant Srivastava today visited JCD Vidyapeeth, Sirsa and met Director General, JCD Vidyapeeth Prof Dr Kuldip Singh Dhindsa.
Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, Dr Dhindsa said the Canadian Centre will be established at the JCD Vidyapeeth, Sirsa to provide information about studies and employment opportunities in Canada.
Dr Dhindsa said here that there was also a proposal for student exchange programme between the Vidyapeeth and Malaspina International High School.
Under this programme, a group of 20 students of the school will visit Canada for two weeks.
Dr Dhindsa highlighted the need of international exposure for students. The proposed areas of co-operation included the faculty and student exchange programs for Engineering and Management Institutions.
Vice-Chancellor of the Canadian University has plans to visit vidyapeeth in the month of March 2008 to finalise joint programmes to promote Indo-Canadian studies.
