BJP swabs eight constituencies in South Gujarat

Surat, Dec 23 (UNI) Today's verdict has proved that the Modi magic has worked out in the district as well as in the city, as the BJP swabs eight constituencies out of twelve in the district, including the Ahwa-Dang district which was regarded as the major seat of the Congress, in south Gujarat area. While the party has even lost the seats in the rural constituencies.

The most awaited seats of the city, which included Choryasi and the Surat north was also been swabbed by BJP. In the previous assembly elections, the BJP rebel Dhiru Gajera has won the Surat north seat. But this time he could not congregate the vote, leading to a loss of more than 22 thousand votes. On responding to his loss, Gajera said it was the people's verdict and he accepts their wish, but he was not ready to accept that it is Modi's magic.

While the candidate from the Choryasi constituency, the Cabinet Minister Mr Narottam Patel has been elected with a record breaking votes of more than two lakh. Reacting to his win Mr Narottam said the people give the verdict, which is seen. It showns whom they want the state to rule.

The seat was important for BJP, as he was been blamed for the floods which took place in the city last year, and for which the Congress had a positive hope. But the hopes of the Congress had turned round as the BJP had mopped up the seat.

The BJP member of parliament (M P) Mr Kashiram Rana had not actively participated for the campaigning of the party, but had congratulated Narendra Modi for his win. He had also said the win was the victory of the part and the charisma of Narendra Modi.
