New Delhi, Dec 23 (UNI) World Brotherhood Day was organised today to celebrate the spirit of peace, love and harmony amongst the culturally diversified Indians across the globe.
The venue was Celebrations Ground in south Delhi and the event was sponsored by TDI, a real estate company.
TDI Vice- Chairman Ravinder Taneja said, "We are proud to be associated with World Brotherhood Organization which is vigorously involved in the promotion of Universal brotherhood. India is a land of unity in diversity and there are Indians spread in every continent of the world. There is a need to bring together all the Indians on a single platform irrespective of their caste, culture or religion and that is what WBO is doing by organising such kind of events on a regular basis." Eminent personalities like Mr Dharampal, chairman of MDH, and well known personalities from different fields; important dignitaries and diplomats from different emabassies were present.
WBO which was formed in 1999 is working for the good of humanity, rather than a particular commmunity. The WBO came together to serve as a common platform for the people of diverse backgrounds, urging them to come forth and work for the betterment of society, fostering brotherhood, harmony and unity among all religions.
The main objective of WBO is to promote economically challenged students for superior and modern management techniques in education and other fields.
WBO also organises Health Camps to spread awareness about diseases such as diabetes, cancer, AIDS and eradicate poverty.
