Hyderabad, Dec 23 (UNI) Akhila Bharata Vikalangula Yojana Seva Congress (ABVYSC) today urged Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy to immediately implement the Indiramma housing scheme for the physically-challenged persons.

Talking to newspersons here, ABVYSC president G Satyanarayana Reddy said the Chief Minister should direct the department concerned to implement the scheme and take steps to open a website for them.

The ABVYSC proposed to start a scheme to provide employment for 10,000 physically-challenged persons every month to enable them to stand on their own feet, he said.

A meeting chaired by Chief Minister in September this year to discuss their problem decided to enhance one-time grant for physically-challenged persons from Rs 3,000 to Rs 10,000, he pointed out.

He demanded that the government to provide the names of the government hospitals that would issue confirmation certificates for physically-challenged as this was vital to avail facilities.
