Mysore, Dec 23 (UNI) It was a free for all with top leaders fighting with each others at a meeting organised by Youth Congress here today.

The meeting was organised to attract young workers to the party led by state Youth Congress leader Krishna Byregowda.

The tension began when former Minister and senior Congress leader Mr M Mahadev made a discriminatory statement between original Congress leaders and those who joined the party from other parties without referring to former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who was present at the meeting.

This annoyed the supporters of Mr Siddaramaiah and indulged in heated argument and counter arguments.

The statement gains significance at a time when eight others MLAs from JD-S, who are loyal to Mr Siddaramaiah are likely to join Congress.

The situation went out of control for a while with Mr Siddaramaiah also joining his supporters.

Mr Siddramaiah and Mr Mahadev were pacified and they later appoligised for the incident.
