Kolhapur, Dec 23: Giants International president Nana Chudasama expressed unhappiness over the killing of girl child, stating that this was not good for nation as well as not tolerable.
Speaking at the 33rd Gaints International convention here yesterdat, Mr Chudasama said the organisation has decided to launch works against the killing of girl child and those who are interested can join hands with Giants.
Family planning is also necessary in India for which the organisation had already carried out works, he said and added Giants had done a lot of social contribution for society.
Gita scholar Jaya Row, speaking as chief guest, said everyone is born with talent that should be dedicated for social causes, which is the highest service to mankind.
Dedication of talent for their respective field will definitely make good for India and betterment of human life, she added.
Noted Hindi film actor Sanjay Dutt, who was one of the chief guest, said he was not politician to give long speech and thanked Giants for inviting him, which was the first social function of Mr Dutt after he was out on bail.
Earlier, Mr Dutt visited the Mahalaxmi temple here and had 'darshan' of presiding deity.
Another guest of honour Kolhapur Mayor and local daily Pudhari's editor Pratapsingh Jadhav also spoke on the occasion.
