Monthly honorarium for Gram Pradhans in J'khand: Marandi

Dumka, Dec 22 (UNI) Jharkhand's Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi today said the government will provide a monthly honorarium to the Gram Pradhans across the state.

Addressing a gathering of Gram Pradhans here, Mr Marandi said the finance department officials had been directed to make a separate budgetry provision for the purpose from next fiscal.

Mr Marandi said the village heads could also check corruption by associating themselves with the welfare schemes being operational in their areas.

Earlier, a six-point memorandum of demands were also handed over to Mr Marandi seeking formation of Gram Pradhan Parishad in Santhal pargana area and Gram Pradhan buildings in every village.
