Industry issues will be resolved on top priority: CM

Indore, Dec 22 (UNI) A high-level CII delegation, led by CII Madhya Pradesh council Vice-Chairman Rajendra Prasad, called on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to discuss certain industry issues and create an environment conducive for industrial growth. Mr Prasad requested Mr Chouhan to provide a level playing field to industry in Madhya Pradesh vis-a-vis adjoining states.

The issues discussed yesterday included abolition of entry tax, pending notification on issues already announced and redressal of various cases related to change of name pending since many years.

Besides, issues related to the procedure awaited for disbursement of grant eligible to new industry and expansion of existing industry under industrial policy were also discussed.

The issues were also submitted in the form of a memorandum to the Chief Minister during the meeting.

CII Malwa Zonal Chairman Jagdish Verma, CII Madhya Pradesh council's former Chairman Sunil Chordia, Force Motors Ltd President B S Khargonkar, Gajra Gears Ltd Vice-Chairman S C Gandhi, CII State SME Panel Convenor Ranjan Mimani, YI (Indore Chapter) Chairman Sandeep Naolekar and YI (Indore Chapter) Co-Chairman Anuj Kothari were also present.
