Chill abates in Delhi, mercury shoots to 10.9 deg C

The
chilly
conditions
sweeping
the
Capital
since
early
this
week
considerably
abated
today
with
the
mercury
shooting
to
10.9
degrees
Celsius,
three
degrees
above
normal.
Yet another sunny day welcomed Delhiites this morning as the minimum temperature shot up, from 7.2 degrees C yesterday, to 10.9 degrees C. With a bright sunlit sky, visibility continued to remain normal at 1500 m at 0700 hrs.The abatement is chill is likely to remain for the next two to three days with the weatherman forecasting that minimum temperatures in Delhi and other plains of northwest India are likely to remain near normal during the next 2-3 days. In fact, the weatherman has predicted a rise in the minimum temperature to 11 degrees C tomorrow.
The Met office forecasts a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
