Barmer, Dec 22 (UNI) Barmer MP Manavendra Singh has filed a complaint against the Raj West Power for employing Chinese citizens in violation of the Foreign Citizens Regulation Act.

Mr Manavendra Singh, who is the son of former External Affairs Jaswant Singh, in a complaint filed at the Sadar police station alleged that Chinese engineers were being employed without the permission and knowledge of the district administration.

He pointed out that foreign citizens were not allowed in the border areas beyond the western side of NH 15.

District police superintendent Nithin Deep has ordered an investigation into the charge by DYSP Laxman Rathore and asked him to submit his report within three days.

He said the Raj West Power through a letter had sought the permission from the district administration for the deployment of seven Chinese engineers at its plant in Bhadhres but since the matter falls under the purview of the Collector he was unaware whether permission was granted.

Acting Collector C L Dayama maintained that no permision was granted by the district administration for the stay and deployment of the Chinese engineers at the plant while Raj West Power kept silent on the issue.
