US under-19 team to play here from Dec 23-Jan 4

Ahmedabad, Dec 21 (UNI) An under-19 team from US Cricket Association is coming here tomorrow and will play eight 50-over one-day matches against Gujarat Cricket Association players from December 23 to January 4.

The matches will be held in Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Anand and Ahmedabad.

US Academy, a member of US Cricket Association, conducts international tours for players under 19 years of age. These players have played against teams of different countries including Barbados, Tobago, Wales and UK.

In 2006, an academy team visited India and played in Hyderabad. The aim of the US Academy is to promote cricket in USA.
