No confidence motion to unmask "dual face" of Cong: Munda
Ranchi, Dec 21 (UNI) Justifying the need of no-confidence motion against the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government in Jharkhand, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Arjun Munda today said the motion was brought to unmask the "dual policies" of the Congress.
On one hand, Congress leaders expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the Koda-government, on the other they extended their support to it, Mr Munda in a statement said here today.
" We knew numbers were not favourable for the Opposition to topple the government, " Mr Munda said adding their main aim was to expose the "misdeeds" of those in power.
Criticising the Congress leaders, Mr Munda said the party should take a clear stand, adding either it should support the government or withdraw its support.
On December 18, the BJP-led opposition moved a no-confidence motion against the 15-month-old Koda-government, which was rejected as the Oposition NDA managed to secure only 33 votes against the Treasury's 41.
