Kumaraswamy undergoing post operative treatment
Bangalore, Dec 21 (UNI) Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who underwent an open heart surgery for replacement of aortic valve at Wockhardt Hospital here is recovering well after his surgery.
He was currently undergoing post operative treatment in the Intensive care unit. He was taken off the ventilator yesterday at evening and was taken off all other support equipment this morning.
He is totally conscious and had a good night's sleep, a bulletin issued by the hospital said here today.
Mr Kumaraswamy was met by his mother and wife last night and also by his father Mr Deve Gowda. He was currently on soft diet and was also being given juices and bread. This morning he made a request for the morning newspapers and is very alert and cheerful. He is cooperating very well for his post operative physiotherapy sessions which are also keeping him pain free.
His wife has been visiting him regularly in the ICU and is happy with his progress. Mr Kumaraswamy's Blood pressure and other parameters were stable and based on his progress so far he is likely to be shifted out of the Intensive care unit by tomorrow evening, the bulletin said.
