Khanduri presents cheque to Republic Day NCC contingent
Dehradun, Dec 21 (UNI) In a bid to encourage the contingent of NCC cadets, selected to represent the State in the Republic Day Parade, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Major General (Retd) B C Khanduri today presented them a cheque for Rs 90,000.
90 NCC cadets, including 56 boys and 34 girls are selected to represent the State i the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi.
Congratulating the cadets, Mr Khanduri said the NCC training helps the youth to develope into a responsible citizen and move ahead in their lives.
He said NCC training developed discipline and character in the cadet. He also hoped that the selected cadets would bring laurel to the State.
The Uttarakhand NCC contingent would leave for Delhi on December 29.
