JCT play Sporting Clube on Dec 23 in I-League

Chandigarh, Dec 21 (UNI) Jagjit Cotton Textiles will play Sporting Clube of Goa in their home match in the ONGC Indian Professional League at the Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on December 23, according to Punjab Football Association secretary Inder Singh.

Both teams will be playing their seventh match. In the points tally, JCT are at the second position behind leaders Dempo Sports Club of Goa, with 12 points from three wins and three draws. JCT have so far scored eight goals and conceded just two. Sporting Clube are at bottom with three points from three draws and three defeats.

JCT defeated Mohun Bagan 2-1, East Bengal 3-1 and Churchill Brothers 3-0. The millmen have played goalless draws with Mahindra United, Air Inida, Mumbai and Dempo Sports Club.

On the other hand, Sporting Clube lost to Churchill Brothers 0-3; lost to Dempo SC 0-1 and Mahindra United 0-3. They played 1-1 draw with Mohun Bagan and Salgaoncar Club. They were held goalless by Viva Kerala.
