Imphal, Dec 21 (UNI) The Muslim community in Manipur today celebrated Id-ul-Zuha with religious fervour and gaiety.
Special prayers were held at the mosques throughout the state.
A large number of people attended the celebrations attired in colourful dresses.
Manipur Governor S S Sidhu greeted the people on the occasion and said the festival of Id-ul-Zuha meant peaceful coexistence, setting aside differences of caste, creed or religion.
Joining the people in celebrating the festival, Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh prayed that the festival may bring love, peace, unity and prosperity in the state.
Besides, Speaker S Budhichandra and others greeted the Muslims on the day.
