TVS bags 'National Energy Conservation Award'

Chennai, Dec 20: Leading two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Srichakra Limited, has bagged the prestigious 'National Energy Conservation Awards-2007' in Tyre sector for the large and medium scale industry category.

According to a company release here today, the award was aimed to give national recognition to the selected industrial units, who had made systematic and serious attempts or efficient utilization and conservation of energy during 2006-07. This was the third successive year that TVS Srichakra had been awarded the first prize at 'National Energy Conservation Awards' after winning the first prize in 2005 and 2006, it said.

Company President T V Mohan received the award from President Pratibha Patil at a function held in New Delhi today.
