Kolkata, Dec 20 (UNI) Temperatures continue to fall in thes city of joy as it welcomes the Christmas season with warm clothes and wishes.
Alipore Met officials said the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, while the maximum was pegged at 25.8 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.
Meanwhile, reports from North Bengal University Recording Station in Siliguri said that the minimum temperature has been recorded as low as 8.4 degrees Celsius and its maximum relative humidity was as high as 98 per cent. However, in the state's capital city, the maximum humidity level was recorded at 86 per cent.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere throughout the day.
People were seen wearing warm clothes all through the day, even during the afternoons when the sun was shinning brightly.
The minimum temperarure is likely to remain around 12 degrees Celsius in the city.
