Shramjivi blast: 3 accused presented before FTC

Jaunpur, Dec 20 (UNI) The three accused in the Patna-New Delhi Shramjivi Express bomb blast case were today produced before a Fast Track Court (II), where the government counsel submitted an application seeking the hearing of the case on the jail premises as per the government order.

The court has fixed January 3 as the next hearing date for the application.

The accused -- Obaid-ur-Rehman, Hilal-ud-din and Nafikul -- were presented before the Fast Track Court (II) of Judge Israr Ahmad, as the Additional District and Sessions Court (III) Judge Rajendra Chand was on leave, sources said.

The prosecution submitted the application seeking the hearing of case on the jail premises as per the government order.

The case file is yet to come from the Tees Hazari Courts in New Delhi.

Meanwhile, security of the terrorists has been mounted.

The July 28, 2005 blast near Halpalganj-Singramau railway station in the district had killed at least 14 people and grievously wounded 90 others.
