Sheila's demand to divide MCD contempt of Const :BJP
New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) Alleging that Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit wanted to pass the buck for her failures on to other agencies, BJP Delhi Pradesh president Dr Harsh Vardhan today said her demand to divide the MCD and bring it under the control of government amounted to contempt of the Constitution.
''If she is incapable of developing Delhi and rule it then she should herself resign from the post of Chief Minister,'' Dr Vardhan said in a statement here.
By her demand in the meeting of the National Development Council, Ms Dikshit had given a proof of her inability to develop the capital without bringing the MCD and the DDA under the control of Delhi Government, he charged.
Dr Harsh Vardhan said she had also fingers to the working of the Union Government by saying that the DDA prepared only Master Plan on papers and also framed wrong plans. By criticising the DDA, she termed the Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy and Ajay Maken as unsuccessful.
