Replica of 'Bangalore Palace' made of Sugar in Nilgiri Exhibiton

Bangalore, Dec 20 (UNI) A replica of Bangalore Palace made from Sugar will be the main attraction at the 35th Annual Cake Exhibition of the Nilgiri Dairy Farm Private Limited beginning here from tomorrow.

The dimension of the colossal structure in sugar, made from six tons of sugar, is 62.5 feet in length, 20 feet height and 19.5 feet width.

Mr C Ramachandran, who is leading the team of Engineers in making the Replica, told newsmen here that more than 100 workers including Engineers and helpers were involved in its creation to ensure that it appears very realistic.

National Consumer Fair Director Gautam Agarwal said after the event the sugar would be donated.

Other attractions of the Exhibition includes Santa Villa, Ship, Kiddies Wheel, Jurassic Park, Clock, Windsor Castle, Cinderella Coach, Flower Arrangement, Peacock, Veena during the event.

The Niligiris, which had been holding the Exhibition since 1969, has already entered the Limca Book of Records for its Sugar models of The World Trade Centre, Eiffel Tower, Titanic, the UN Building, the Mysore Palace and many other famous monuments.

The event, jointly organised by Nilgiris and National Consumer Fair, includes an International Life Style Exhibition with artificial flowers and plants from Thailand and American melamine crockery by weight.
