Parsee club to organise six-day cricket tournament

Kolkata, Dec 20 (UNI) The six-day 21st Jiji Irani Parsee Pentangular Cricket Tournament for this year will be held here from December 21 to 26 to celebrate the club's centeneray this year.

Teams from Nagpur, Jamshedpur, Secundrabad, Surat and Kolkata will participate in the tourney, to be held on league basis. Each match will comprise one innings in 30 overs with a five minute break.

Several cricketing greats like Keje Jejh Jhambatta, Jamshed Madan Russi Jeejbhoy among others are expected to be present in this event, according to a release issued by the community.

Several prominent cricketers will be seen in action during this tournament like Secundrabad's spin bowler Noshir Mehta and Surat's Rustam Sethna, who was selected for Ranji Trophy.

The home team will be led by Rayazad Bulsara.
