M Karunanidhi calls on Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Dec 20: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today called on UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence here.

The DMK chief was accompanied by his daughter Kanimozhi and Highways and Shipping Minister T R Baalu. The brief meeting was described as a courtesy call.Later in the evening, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat is expected to call on Mr Karunanidhi who would leave for Chennai tomorrow morning. The DMK leader had come here on December 18 to attend the meetings of the National Development Council On Dec 19 and of the Chief Ministers on internal security today.
