Jeypore, Dec 20 (UNI) A sixty-year-old man from tribal dominated Koraput has made his way to the Guinness Book of Records for making the largest underwear garment in the world.
A local tailor, A V Giri had to toil for five consecutive days to stich this giant underwear garment with a length of 38 feet and 10 inches, whereas the waist line was 50 feet and three inches.
''It is the biggest underwear made so far in the world,'' Giri claims.
The public exhibition of the huge breifs was conducted in a local hotel here on last Tuesday, which was witnessed by two senior tailors as per the norms of the Guinness Book of World Record(GBWR).
Mr Giri, a famous and popular tailor in the area, said he had used 450 meter of cloth to make this unique undergarment, which would be sent to London by courier to the GBWR office for further verification.
Earlier, Mr Giri had been a proud achiever of the Limca Book of Records for making a thermocoal chain without any joint and received wide spread acclamation.
