DGP orders COD inquiry into custodial death
Gulbarga, Dec 20 (UNI) Karnataka Director General of Police Srinivasan today ordered an inquiry into the controversial death of an illicit brewer at Chittapur town in the district.
According to a release here, the DGP had ordered COD inquiry into the circumstances which led to the death of Krishna Kumar Rathod (25), which created tension in the town.
Krishna Kumar Rathod died while he was taken to the police station by two constables after a raid on his house for brewing illicit arrack.
Already two constables allegedly responsible for the death were kept under suspension and a murder case under Section 302 was registered against them.
