Azadi Express at Vasco from Dec 23-26

Panaji, Dec 20 (UNI) The Azadi Express, with 11 coaches showcasing various exhibition panels on India's Freedom Movement, travelling through different parts of the country, will arrive at Vasco-da-Gama Railway Station, Goa, for a four-day halt starting from December 23.

The exhibition will be thrown open to the public by Revenue Minister Jose Phillip D'Souza, while Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godhinho will preside over the function in presence of freedom fighters, Milind Naik and Froilano Machado.

The panels in the coaches depict various themes including 150th year of the first war of independence (1857) and the 60th anniversary of independence.

A local exhibition on Goa's freedom struggle will also find place on the platform of the station during the four days, according to an official release of the South Western Railway, Hubli.
