Chennai, Dec 20 (UNI) Bollywood star and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan today expressed her desire to act more in Kollywood films, but said time constraint prevents her from doing so.

Interacting with the press after launching Nakshatra's new Diamond Jewellery Collections at a city hotel, she said she loves acting in Tamil movies.

''I want to act more in Tamil films. I loved to act in Tamil films. But it depended on time schedule and the call sheets.

Because of this I cannot do so'', she added.

''If time schedule permits me, I will definitely act in Tamil films'', she added.

She said her Tamil film ''Iruvar'' taught her the nuances of acting and how to express a dialogue.

''After a ramp walking, I straightaway came to act in Tamil movie +Iruvar+, which taught me the nuances of acting''.

''My first strong connection with Tamil Nadu is Iruvar, which helped me to learn the basics of acting'', she adds.

Expressing her love for Tamil culture, she said though she was proud of being an Indian, the former Miss World recalled that it was the people of Tamil Nadu who called her as ''ice'' after acting in that character in the film ''Jeans'', a blockbuster directed by Shankar.

''It's very unique, because people in north call me as ''Ash'''', she added.

On any plans of taking the plunge into politics in line with the modern day trend, Aishwarya Rai deftly parried the question, saying ''right now I am enjoying every moment of life''.

About her married life with Abhishek, she said she was enjoying the life. ''I thank God for giving such a wonderful life''.

''It was fabulous'', she said, when asked about her experience in Chennai during shooting of the film ''Guru''. The experience with the people in that unit was very interesting.

Asked why women like more diamonds, she said it's like men's connection with modern cars.
