Severe cold wave conditions in Haryana, Punjab

Pune, Dec 19 (UNI) Severe cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab.

Cold wave conditions also prevailed in Jharkhand, at isolated places in Bihar, east Madhya Pradesh and in remaining parts of Haryana and Punjab.

Northeast monsoon has been vigorous in Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Rains or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Tamil Nadu.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in south interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Kerala and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over the Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Night temperatures were appreciably normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, north Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Chattisgarh and in remaining parts of Bihar and of east Madhya Pradesh and were below normal in Jammu and in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya and north Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, north coastal Tamil Nadu, north interior Karnataka, some parts of south interior Karnataka and were above normal in coastal Karnataka, some parts of Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra. They were normal over the rest of the country.
