Vadodara, Gujarat, Dec 19 (UNI) City police have arrested a young religious tutor and two of his sisters for allegedly beheading a 15-year-old boy after they failed to recover a loan of Rs 7,000 from the victim's father.
The trio were arrested after J P Road police recovered the headless body of Abid Ali Saiyed, a class X student of Kelavani school, from the terrace of his teacher Noor-ul-Haq (22) following a raid at their Tandalja residence in the city yesterday.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) B K Srimali, Noor, who tried to mislead the police by stating that Abid seemed to have been kidnapped by an unidentified person on Monday, confessed to having murdered his student for not getting back his money.
Police also recovered a butcher's knife - the weapon of offence from the terrace.
Two of Noor's sisters -- Halimabiwi and Mariumbiwi -- have also been arrested for their alleged involvement in the gruesome murder, police said.
Although the police registered a case of kidnapping on the basis of Noor's statement, the needle of suspicion pointed towards Noor as his limbs had some fresh injury marks, which the accused might have sustained during his murderous attack on Abid.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that the victim's father, Ali Asgar Saiyed, who works with the Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals Limited (GACL), had taken a loan of Rs 7,000 from Noor around 10 months ago and was unable to repay the amount.
Noor, who was reportedly under pressure from his family members for early recovery of the loan amount from his student's father, took the extreme step on Monday morning after Abid, who was staying in the neighbouring Amir Complex, came to his place for regular tuition.
As Abid did not return home, his parents filed a complaint with the police believing in Noor's statement that their son had been kidnapped by an unidentified person on a motorcycle while he was returning home from tuition.
