Police arrests BDO for fraud in J

Jammu, Dec 19 (UNI) A special team of Crime Branch arrested the Block Development Officer (BDO) in connection with embezzlement of cement in Rural Development Department (RDD) in tehsil Billawar of Kathua district, police sources here said.

Sources today said BDO identified as Dhian Singh was arrested yesterday by the police for fraud in Rural Development Department (RDD).

''On the basis of an inquiry conducted into embezzlement of cement, a FIR was lodged against Dhian Singh, a resident of Sumb, district Samba, the then BDO Billawar,'' sources told UNI.

However, he was arrested by the Billawar Police while case has been registered against him for further investigations, sources said.
