Maids take out march to press demands

Puducherry, Dec 19 (UNI) Domestic maids affiliated to the CITU today took out a march to the Labour Minister's residence here to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, enrolling them as members in the unorganised sector labourers society and setting up of a separate welfare board for them.

Police stopped them behind the Government General hospital where they staged a demonstration and dispersed.
