Kumaraswamy to undergo open heart surgery tomorrow
Bangalore, Dec 19(UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who has suffered a severe block in a heart valve, would under go open heart surgery at a super speciality hospital here tomorrow.
Speaking to UNI Wockhardt Hospital CEO Vishal Bali said that after a thorough examination that extended from yesterday till this afternoon, the JD(S) leader was diagnosed to be suffering from 'Severe Calcific Aortic Valve Stenosis'.
"A series of investigations including an angiography was performed on him and this revealed that he needs an open heart surgery for replacement of the Calcific Aortic Valve. He is scheduled to undergo the heart surgery tomorrow," he said.
