Kumaraswamy to undergo open heart surgery on Dec 20
Bangalore, Dec 19(UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy who suffered a severe blockage of a heart valve would undergo an open heart surgery at a super speciality hospital here tomorrow.
Speaking to UNI, Wockhardt Hospital CEO Vishal Bali said after a thorough examination that extended from yesterday till this afternoon, the JD(S) leader was diagnosed to be suffering from 'Severe Calcific Aortic Valve Stenosis.' ''A series of investigations, including an angiography has been performed on him. This revealed he needs an open heart surgery for replacement of the Calcific Aortic Valve.
''He is scheduled to undergo the heart surgery tomorrow,'' Mr Bali said.
