Shimla, Dec 19 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) today expelled 13 more leaders and activists from the primary membership for the party for six years.
These people have been expelled from the party for campaigning in favour of rebel party candidates in the state assembly elections, state party president Viplove Thakur said in a release here.
She said the expelled leaders included Mandi district secretary Balbir Guleria and former legislator from Banjar constituency, Dile Ram Shawab.
Others who have shown the door included Pawan Chibb, Baldev Punni, Kishor Chand, Raun Singh, Som Dutt, Rakesh Mahajan, Yogesh Mahajan, all from Nurpur assembly segment, Chhale Singh from Banjar, and Het Ram, Muwark Singh and Ram Lal from Mandi sadar constituency, she added.
Another release by the Youth Congress said Yogesh Mahajan was removed from the post of secretaryship from the state's Youth Congress after he campaigned against the official candidate from Nadaun constituency. Youth Congress' state president and sitting legislator Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is contesting elections from this constituency.
