HC extends interim bail for Amarinder in City Centre case
Chandigarh, Dec 19 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court today extended the interim bail to former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in Ludhiana City Centre case for alleged receipt of kickbacks amounting to Rs 12 crore by him and others.
Justice Ranjit Singh has however, directed him to apply for regular bail before the trial court. Till then, the present protection against arrest already granted, would remain in force in the case registered against him on March 23 by the state Vigilance Bureau, the court said.
Similar, orders have also been issued on the bail applications of former Punjab minister Chaudhary Jagjit Singh, who too, was asked to appear before the trial court for regular bail.
